Global Case Database

Every report adds another piece to the picture. The goal is a structured database in which patterns can be examined responsibly.

Where the database stands

The database is opening for reports now. Live counts will appear here only once they are verified — VAX-SIN does not publish numbers the data cannot support.

Each report is structured by:

  • Age
  • Sex
  • Country
  • Vaccine type
  • Dose number
  • Time to symptom onset
  • Symptom / diagnosis
  • Duration
  • Treatment
  • Current status

How the data is handled

  • Only verified numbers are published. Counters are shown only after the data behind them has been checked.
  • Small groups are not shown. To protect privacy, categories with very few reports are not published separately.
  • Reports are not proof. The database shows what people report. It cannot, on its own, show that a vaccine caused any event, and it is not a representative sample.
  • Researchers. Access to anonymous, aggregated data for research will be offered subject to a published policy, approvals and a data-use agreement.
