Transparency & Methodology

How VAX-SIN collects reports, selects research and presents information — including the limits of what the data can show.

Reports

  • Reports are self-reported and are reviewed for completeness, not medically verified.
  • People choose to report, so the database is not a representative sample and cannot measure how often events happen.
  • A report shows that an event occurred after vaccination — not that the vaccine caused it.
  • Counts are published only after verification, and small groups are not shown separately.

Research Library

  • Each study is listed with its original source and DOI, study type, size, key finding and limitations.
  • Peer-reviewed studies and preprints are labelled differently.
  • Summaries are written in plain language and checked against the original.
  • We include studies that find associations and studies that do not. Anyone may suggest a study.

Separation of content

  • Personal reports, published research and general medical information are kept visibly separate.
  • Commercial content is never part of the research or report sections.
