Pine Needle Tea

An herbal infusion made from pine needles, drunk traditionally in many cultures. It has a fresh, resinous, slightly citrus taste and naturally contains vitamin C.

How to prepare

Steep 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot (not boiling) water for 5–10 minutes, then strain.

Safety

Not recommended during pregnancy. Use only food-grade needles from a reliable supplier; some look-alike trees, such as yew, are poisonous. Pine needle tea has no proven effect on conditions reported after vaccination.
